So last week was a very sad week for us. We lost 13 soldiers to one of our own. Why? Noone knows. I made it justintime to leave the gate last Thursday before they closed it down and came home to like a hundred phone calls with me bewildered to the fact that anything happened. I am so thankful for concerned friends and family and saddened for the ones who lost theirs.

I took this pic today and there are still news people in front!

I don't think that there will ever be any reason that is given to make this whole tragedy make sense. As Army families you come to expect the worry and the dreaded knock on the door when they are deployed, but you never expect something like this to happen in your own backyard. I am so glad that you and your family are all okay, I was so worried about you when I first heard. My heart and prayers go out to all the families who lost a loved one that day.
