Entrecard top droppers

So I was curious to see how my stats are doing since using Entrecard and it is pretty good. I'm not very high with Alexa but hopefully I can be somewhat popular in the future. Here are my top droppers according to Entrecard:

Dropper # of drops
Windmill on the Hill 29
C'est La Vie 21
HouseholdSix 20
Autumnal Confessions & SexyAdvice 19
Random Chronicles 13
Mariuca's Perfume Gallery 13
Day Break 13
Wishing On A Falling Star 11
Digital Products Review 11
Social Media Helper 9

Thanks everyone for being so great and helping me become more popular! If you don't have Entrecard you should!

What a great way to build a clientel!

I was invited by a company called Well-WorX Enterprise to set up a booth for Tastefully Simple! I was so stoked to do it that I talked to the hubby since it is on a weekday and I'd need him to watch the kids. With the army being pretty flexible he said it should not be a problem. I called the office and they said that I have a 99% chance of being one of the reps! I faxed in the information they needed so I am hoping that I will get a call back letting me know I got it. Wish me luck!

Oh yeah, and I received another award!

Noah's Mommy over at Project Mommyhood gave me this:

Thank you so much for the awesome award! :)

Mustard?

No Moosetard! I discovered this yummy food when my family and I went to the Christmas Village in downtown Anchorage. I couldn't help but buy a couple of jars of this wonderful stuff! The 2 that hubby and I chose were:

Old 55 Pale Ale with Roasted Garlic

and

Nanook Blue (which has blueberry in it...I know it sounds weird but it is good!)

I just baked some chicken with the Old 55 Pale Ale moosetard and I couldn't believe how yummy it was! I can't wait to use this stuff on pork roast too!

I promise you won't be disappointed!

Thursday's Workshop(although it is Sunday)

So forgive me Momma Kat because Domestic Goddess forgot to post the workshop..I usually am not so scatterbrained but I still blame it on the two kids and my broke husband(who has upgraded his hand brace to a full arm cast)

So here is the weekly assignment.

I decided to pick:

3.) Describe a "new road" you've taken in your life.

I chose this because my life has changed a lot in the past few months. I thought living here in Alaska was going to be the worst experience in my life. (Okay, I tend to be a bit overdramatic) I decided that after a few failed friendships I was never going to go out and make any new friends because I was getting crapped on and things weren't going well for me at all (read: boo-hoo little ol me)

I decided that feeling sorry for myself was not going to make my life better and no one was going to come to the pity party, not even my own husband. So after everything that happened I decided to go to PWOC so I can be around positive women who will be there for me if I needed someone to talk to. I had met Angie when I first went to church and she started picking me up and we would go to PWOC together. Her mentoring has been such a drastic change in my life that my worrying about what other people thought of me just washed away. I don't plot revenge against the people that wronged me anymore. I pray and converse with God about what to do when people had wronged me and what to do instead of thinking about doing things that will do more harm than good in my life. God has been such an amazing part of my life nowadays that I am mad at myself for not turning to Him sooner. I think it would have saved me a lot of heartache thats for sure.

Now, I can't say I have changed overnight. I think it will take awhile for me to become a better person physically and mentally. I know through God and having positive women in my life I will keep going down my "new road" and be a better friend, mom, wife, daughter, sister than I ever imagined. I pray that my friends will begin to see the new me and accept it. I also pray that I continue to find friends that will be a positive influence in my life throughout my journeys as an army wife.

As I close this I want to say thank you to my readers and my friends who have stood by me when I was at my lowest. It takes a great friend to have that much patience in someone like me thats for sure!

What not to eat while taking Alli...

Dominoes Pizza.

Alli woke me up at 4 a.m. this morning by giving me stomach pains. I should know better by now after all the treatment effects I had because of not watching what I ate. If you ever want to consider trying Alli you HAVE to watch your fat intake...your anus will thank you.

Today.

I went to PWOC today like every Tuesday (PWOC is women's bible study) and today we discussed sex and the female orgasm. It reminded me of an old post I made back in May. I learned that it is necessary for us females to have an orgasm regularly (yeah, okay, that will happen) but its not the main goal of a sexual union. It got me to think about things like that and instead of stressing about "getting there" I should just lay back and relax and enjoy my husband. I think that it will be better for both of us for me to do just that so the next romp session I will think about this discussion today and see how it goes.

My favorite Holiday movie

Why it is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation of course! How can you not love this movie each year? The only NL movies I love is the ones with the Griswolds in them, the rest of them are crap. I don't know how many movies one can make about half naked blonde bimbos, drinking idiots, and, oh yeah, don't forget sex...well, the original NL movies have some of that in them but not like the newer ones! Here are a couple of my favorite parts of the movie:

Let it Snow! (honestly, no)

So miss Domestic Goddess got stuck in the snow(twice)today. How fun...but at least I had some really nice guys help me out while I was feeling like an idiot because I'm from Illinois and I should know better. Oh well, things happen. I'm going to post up some pictures later of our snow and how much the kids love to play in it!

Hope your weekend was a good one!

Dear Army

Dear Army,
I am tired of being second to you when it comes to my relationship with my husband. I bet you are oh so jealous when he's on leave and you can't control him...well, kind of....You think you are so better than me because you get him whenever and where ever you want without repercussions eh? Well you mean old hag, when he retires what are you going to do then? Yeah, you MAY still have your measly little hands on him a few years after but what are you going to do after your hold? Oh yeah, there are many other men and women you have your grubby hands on, telling them what to do, how they should "handle" their spouses, and leave their children to cry wondering when "mommy or daddy" will be home.

BUT...

You have your perks. You pay for a lot of things such as our medical bills and our housing arrangements. I guess you are good for some things eh? Not that packing us up and sending us to the frozen tundra is your idea of a "great time" but you have managed to keep me on my toes these past 7 years. My mom will be done dealing with your mess soon and I'm quite jealous but she's done with her life sentence after 20 years. I suppose I can continue being the mistress while you sit back and laugh at my insignificance's of being called:

The Army Wife. A.K.A "The Silent Ranks"

This letter is linked to the SITS site so go over and check them out, they are AMAZING!

Writers Workshop for Wednesday

I had to really think about what I wanted to write about because so many things have been going on pretty much all month that has been bittersweet. The choices that Miss Kat gave are few and far between of what my mind thinks about each day. I decided to talk about what had been bothering me this week.

What really bothered me this week is that Braden is still acting up. I can't wait til Tom gets here on Sunday to straighten his little butt up. I really want to file a police report on all the bite marks and bruises on me. I have no idea what to do with him or his constant abuse...for goodness sakes, he's 3 and not old enough for me to file a mommy abuse report on his butt!

That is the main thing. I won't get into the fact that I lost a few friends over stupid things such as thinking I'm talking for them (which wasn't my intention in the first place), I won't go on about how cowardly they were ignoring me nor the fact that they think they are better than me. Nor the fact that I was talking about their president.

Nope, Crista is totally over their crap. I'm focusing on the fact that my love will be here on Sunday and I'm having great friends over for Thanksgiving.

Oh yeah...My baby girl is getting 2 more teeth coming in so that has been oh so much fun....

What a great potty seat!

So I have been unsuccessfully trying to potty train little man. Even candy won't bribe this little too-smart-for-mom boy. He will cry and whine if I even mention the potty.

So, while I'm on a break from my frustration I was dropping my entrecard on some sites and came across this great one. Its called the Mom Buzz and they are giving away a free potty chair! It is so incredibly cute and convenient. I am hoping that if I win it that it will actually be put in good use.

Here is what it looks like:

Twilight Goodies!

I wanna win one of these awesome prizes from Sunshine and Lemonade!

First is:

This week's winner will receive:

The Twilight Movie companion.

But this is no ordinary companion. This one is personalized. With a note from the ultimate fan girl.

And while you are looking through your new book. You might get a little hungry. How about a little chocolate temptation. And not ordinary chocolate. But Godiva chocolate.

And then when you are done with your book. You might want to read through the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. With a special cover of Edward himself.

And after you have seen the movie. You might want a permanent reminder. Until the dvd is released. So you could always hang this 2009 wall calendar in your kitchen. To keep track of your appointments. And kid activities.

AND if you haven't read the book. You can go and get yourself a copy at Barnes and Noble. But I am sure that you have already read it. And you can use this gift card to find something to read before Stephenie Meyer is persuaded to release Midnight Sun.

And you can mark your place in your new book with this. Or you can always take it with you to the tattoo parlor to make sure that they get the inscription just right.

And finally...you can pretend that you are a teen again by hanging this in your room. I am sure that your husband will get used to it.

Go to her blog if you are interested in winning any of the goodies here!

Happy Veterans Day!

This is one of the most important days for me. I'm not only an army wife but an army daughter, military granddaughter, and also great-granddaughter. I reflect on this day each year and remember the sacrifices that they have done for all of us. Each year when there is a table at the PX I always put in a donation and get my poppy. I hope you all take a moment today and remember who gave us our freedom and how they sacrificed it all to keep our freedom.

My childhood celeb crush

So I had a thing for Zachary Ty Bryan from Home Improvement, think a lot of girls did my age in the early 90's (keep in mind I am now 28), but this isn't about him. Not many people know about this actor, he wasn't as popular but ever since I saw Lawnmower Man, Prehysteria, and Last Action Hero, this girl was hooked. I imagined marrying him and living happily ever after..(okay so I was young and in love!)

His name you want to know?

Austin O'Brien of corse. This is what he looked like in the early 90's:

And now...rarrrrrr
I remember writing him a letter and I got an autographed picture of him and about died. I finally had it framed. I think I will scan it when I get the chance to show ya. I think I slept with that picture every night! He is now married as am I so maybe next lifetime fate will happen and I get my childhood crush! haha

My favorite part of My Girl 2(it starts after they kiss but that part is when I pretend I'm Vada every time!

I know I'm so lame!

What was your good deed?

So I thought of a good deed I did, I believe it was towards the end of last year. I used to have my own vehicle so I would be out and about (because I hate being in the house!). I decided to get breakfast and went to Burger King. The line was long and so I was sitting waiting and thinking about an article I read somewhere about some ideas about doing good things for people to make yourself feel better and more positive. There was one about going to a fast food place in the morning and paying for the person behind you. I was thinking "that was an excellent idea!" The cashier thought I was a little weird but she also thought it was a nice gesture. I not only did a good deed but the car behind me was two soldiers, but only one ordered though.

Blog about your good deed and snag my badge too!

Twilight is my new addiction

I'm on the second book of the series which is surprisingly due to the fact I have not got much reading in with the babies being sick. I could not put the first book down, I was so intrigued! I love vampire books ever since my sister got me on Laurell K. Hamilton

And what is also great is that A daily Dose of Toni is having a giveaway!!

Ugh

So Soldier boy left for NTC which is in Ft. Irwin, CA. Although I lived there for a few months in the summer with my parents I wish I was there since the high today was, oh, 20 degrees!

Anyway, I usually enjoy my vacation from hubster but with two kids by myself it has not been a walk in the park. It hasn't even been ONE day of his absence without something disastrous. First, my son decided he wanted eggs and didn't want to wait for mommy to finish the laundry so what does he do? He leaves me a gift of cracked eggs on the floor and is hiding because he knew he did something he wasn't supposed to. I didn't take pics like a good blogger should but I have about 3 weeks of soldier boy's absence for little man to make up for today's incident.

Tonight, however, was even worse. Little man refused to go to bed. I guess I have a sign on my forehead that reads "easily taken advantage of". I did NOT give in. I swear he acts up even worse when daddy is gone. He listens to him better than me for some reason.

Oh well if I get sent to the loony bin the end of the month you'll know why.

Writers Workshop for Wednesday

Why do I write? Miss Kat asks.

Well, I write mainly because it lets me voice my opinions and lets me have a wonderful anonymous person comment on a post saying "You is one ugly bitch"....At least if you are going to call names you would at least not be a coward in hiding your true identity, I mean, really.

This is how I feel when anonymous losers say things like that to me.

Anyway, on to more important things such as my keen ability to write. I love writing and I love informing others of my likes/dislikes. I love using pay-per-post because, well, I get paid for doing what I love! I have many readers who follow and stalk me, even people who don't like me stalk me! Isn't that fun or what? Popularity at its best I always say.

R.I.P. Old Faithful

Okay, so I'm in mourning for my crockpot. I had this thing since Tom and I got married back in 2001. It made the best roasts, italian beef, and porkchops falling apart. I will miss you but unfortunately you will have to be replaced....how else can a great cook be able to cope without a crockpot?

Site that sells inexpensive eyeglasses

Anyone who is blind like me who needs glasses can fully understand that finding inexpensive eyewear is important. When I checked out this site I was amazed at the prices. Where else can you find complete single vision eyeglasses starting at $8.00??

Definitely not at Lenscrafters that's for sure!

What if I could get quality eyeglasses on the cheap? Who would you I them for?
Are two questions asked. My answer to them are:

I could save money on frames and lenses!

I would buy them for myself and my husband who is more blind than me! (I guess if our two children have our "great" eyesight we'll save money using this website!

Also as I was checking out the website I noticed that If I broke my frame, I can reorder a replacement frame directly from the website, if it’s still available in the inventory. AND if I lost a nosepad or have loose or missing screws, they supply those in reasonable quantity on a continuing basis, without charge, as well as a tool to facilitate their replacement! How great is that?!?

The ordering cart looks very simple and easy to use and I have any questions I can call or e-mail them.

I hope you check out this site, I think I may use them for my eyeglass company in the future!

Army Life and Holidays

If you want, post about how the holidays are without your family and how it affected you, grab my badge too!

Bah humbug has been my two favorite words this past year. This holiday will mark the second year without my family and it kills me inside. Last year was the worst. My children made it a little better and put a smile on my face while inside my heart hurt. I longed for another family Christmas and even though I had my husband and 2 children it just didn't seem complete to me. I guess I'm a big family girl.

I know what you are saying, "Suck it up, you are an army wife! We all try to manage the best we can!"

I AM TRYING DAMMIT!

My (wannabe) Halloween costume this year

So I was really wanting to find some cute Halloween Costumes but I was really worried more about finding the kids a costume instead. I did see this really cute and sexy costume at www.halloweenadventure.com that I absolutely loved. I love this because it shows off the cleavage which is a big part of my body that compliments the best! I love the dress because its long but also has the slit up the side which makes it really sexy!

Maybe I'll get it next year when I have a better looking body!

Check it out!
If you like this costume also, you can find it here.

Help find Tyler a cure!

7 year old Tyler is an active and healthy little boy until February of 2005. He was practicing basketball with his father when his arm started shaking uncontrollably. After multiple doctor visits and misdiagnoses, Tyler's many doctors informed his parents that he had Dystonia. The shakes have become crippling muscle and body twists that are uncontrolled.

Tyler's Hope for a Dystonia Cure is a foundation created to advance research and raise awareness about the disorder

I wanted to learn more about it and I found this website that further explains what Dystonia is and how it can effect a person.

Dystonia is a movement disorder that causes the muscles to contract and spasm involuntarily. The neurological mechanism that makes muscles relax when they are not in use does not function properly. Opposing muscles often contract simultaneously as if they are “competing” for control of a body part. The involuntary muscle contractions force the body into repetitive and often twisting movements as well as awkward, irregular postures

Here are some sites about Tyler's Hope. I hope that you check them out and learn more about this rare disease.

1) Official site: www.tylershope.org
2) Facebook cause with 130+ members: http://apps.facebook.com/causes/7729?recruiter_id=2489102

When I'm upset

So I got hooked on this one blogger, Mama's Losin' It thanks to my friend Ashley's blog.

Miss Mama's Losin' It wants us to choose from some topics so I decided to choose when I'm upset, so here goes:

When I am upset I clean. I don't mean "Oh I'm so mad I'm going to do the laundry" clean, I mean, GET OUT OF MY WAY MOMMA IS ON A CLEANING STREAK kinda clean. Not only does the laundry get done, rooms are spotless, bathrooms are shiny, and the kitchen looks like a kitchen and not like a 30 and 3 year old have been in it trying to concoct up something that considers a meal. When I was childless my house was clean constantly and not because my husband drove me nuts 99.9 percent of the time it was that I lived with a woman who had (still has) a case of OCD. She rubbed off on me so if I have something on my mind, if someone pissed me off, or if I just am bored, I'm off cleaning something. Don't get me wrong, I still have clutter but not too much that I can't concentrate (not much to say about my computer desk however).

I really wanted to write about my holiday memories but it would have been a bit similar to Ashley's because we are both not only army wives but army brats as well and since I had been already yelled at and accused for "copying" someone's blog post (oh yeah and I was deleted off of her myspace, boohoo) I decided to write this one instead.

Til next time!

Well, we tried!

So I bought this Haunted Gingerbread house to put together for Halloween, I thought, "Hey, get some friends together and their kids and have some fun!" Well, I think the kids had more fun than my friend Liz and I trying to make sure the darn thing was staying together with the frosting "glue" The picture above is Liz's daughter eating the end results! Oh well!

I wonder how it will end up when we do the Christmas house! haha

Reporting phone numbers

When I saw an opportunity to post about Phone Number Reporting I was pyched! I know how we all can get a crazy caller, an annoying sales person, or just an annoying prankster every once in awhile and it is our job to report these people. Unfortunately though sometimes the number does not come up so you might just have to ignore it unless it keeps happening. What is great about this website is that other people are reporting these numbers for our benefit. If any of the numbers they listed look familiar to you then you'll know for sure that they are someone trying to scam you or just harass you! Check out the website, I know you will be glad you did!

Nationwide Phone Lookup

I was checking out a Reverse Phone Search today and found it not so informative. I looked up a few phone numbers (as well as mine) and it doesn't show names just the town and state. If you want other information such as:

  • Owner name and address
  • Phone location
  • Household members
  • Phone company and carrier
  • Line type - landline or mobile
You have to pay a fee for it. I think that if I really needed to look up someone's name and location I would pay the fee but if its not really that important then I would rather just leave it as is. This website is great if someone called and you have no clue where the call came from. I know sometimes people call and the area code doesn't look familiar so I will go to this website and see the town and state where the number is located.

Hope this information helped!

Tuesday Toot

For my Tuesday Toot I decided to get up and get ready for PWOC which is Praying women of the chapel. I really enjoyed it and I'm really glad I went. The women there are super nice and are very welcoming. They have childcare so I got to get away from the kids for a couple hours. I'm beginning to become more spiritual and I need that in this crazy negative life. I plan on becoming more involved in the future also.

Family pics done

Last weekend I had my good friend Megan take pictures of the family. She did such an amazing job! If you are in the Anchorage area and want great pictures done check out her website and give her a call, you won't be disappointed! Don't forget to mention Crista sent you! :)

Now is the time to learn another language

So I decided that I wanted to learn German. I could have gotten the chance to learn it when I was actually living in Germany for almost 3 years but give up sightseeing and traveling with no children in tow? No way! So now with 2 kids I have the Rosetta Stone learning German program I borrowed from the library.

So since I had the car this week due to greedy hubby being in the field til Friday I decided to take advantage of the situation (plus I had books that were due back in July!). So bundling up the kids and putting them in the car we took off down the road to the post library. I decided that I should look for some information about learning German and when the lady told me they had Rosetta Stone programs I was excited because I heard really good stuff about the company. Braden found a movie he wanted (Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin) so I decided to borrow something myself.

I am really excited about starting this although there is a ton of things I have to do for it as you can see here:

I have only 30 short days to check this program out so maybe they'll let me recheck it out if I don't finish. Not to change the whole point of this blog but my friend Liz got me hooked on Grey's Anatomy and since it is on season 5 or 6? I have a bit of catching up to do since I had never watched it before!

The common misconceptions about Alaska

Ever since McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate all I hear nowadays are celebrities talking off their mouth at crap they know nothing about. Diddy is one of them (and I can't stand him or his opinions)

1. Do you all live in Igloos?

Um no. There are military bases here in Alaska and we live in housing. If you want to see the housing click here
Or better yet:

The front of our house

2. Isn't it always snowing there?

Again, look at the picture. My kids are in onesies and shorts so I think that kinda answers the question.

3. I have to bring up the comment that P. Diddy moron made about black people. He said "Isn't there like no black people there?"

Um, are you a complete moron? Since there are military bases one would think that there are black people living here. There are also Asian, Pacific Islanders, ect.

4. Don't you have like no light there?

Only in the winter we have a couple of hours of day unless you live up in Barrow where there is no day for a few months. (Watch 30 days of Night, it really is like that up there). In the summer we have a few hours of night.

Ok, have I cleared up some misconception of this state? If anyone has any questions that I have not answered please let me know.

And yes, I do like Sarah Palin, and yes, I have done my research.

Found some more ways to make some extra cash

I do surveys on cashcrate and received checks from them. Great site, all you have to do is make another e-mail. (Don't use your regular e-mail because you will get a ton of spam). Its really easy to do and if you decide to do this and need help let me know!

I also found another great site. You need to post ads and make money through referrals. There is no paying anything and you can earn quite a lot!

I will post more as I find them!

    Tuesday Toot

I have decided to start dieting again...well not really dieting but watching my sugar/carb in take and having determination to do so. I was really tired of being tired and fat and I decided that I needed to do something about it. I started Alli and started up my Weight Watchers again so we'll see how that goes.

    Til later!
