Help find Tyler a cure!

7 year old Tyler is an active and healthy little boy until February of 2005. He was practicing basketball with his father when his arm started shaking uncontrollably. After multiple doctor visits and misdiagnoses, Tyler's many doctors informed his parents that he had Dystonia. The shakes have become crippling muscle and body twists that are uncontrolled.

Tyler's Hope for a Dystonia Cure is a foundation created to advance research and raise awareness about the disorder

I wanted to learn more about it and I found this website that further explains what Dystonia is and how it can effect a person.

Dystonia is a movement disorder that causes the muscles to contract and spasm involuntarily. The neurological mechanism that makes muscles relax when they are not in use does not function properly. Opposing muscles often contract simultaneously as if they are “competing” for control of a body part. The involuntary muscle contractions force the body into repetitive and often twisting movements as well as awkward, irregular postures

Here are some sites about Tyler's Hope. I hope that you check them out and learn more about this rare disease.
